Silent Hill: Townfall review scores

Metacritic and OpenCritic both list critic scores for Townfall, and Metacritic splits PS5 from PC. The aggregator pages are the live numbers; the figures here are a snapshot that will drift as reviews arrive.

Metacritic, PS581 (Generally Favorable)
Metacritic, PC82 (Generally Favorable)
OpenCritic, Top Critic average82
Three critic scores on one 0 to 100 axis. Each bar is drawn from the figure printed beside it, so a bar and its number cannot disagree. Original chart for this site.

Metacritic lists the PS5 and PC versions separately, which is why there are two rows; the platform pages are PS5 and Steam, and when each one unlocks is on the release-date page. Reviews were up before the Deluxe 48-hour early access window opened, which the early-access page sets out. How the counted reviews divide

Each bar is one Metacritic page, its counted reviews cut into Metacritic’s own groups, with the count inside each cut. The negative group is empty on both pages, so it has no segment. Original diagram for this site.

The figure above counts reviews, not opinions: each bar is a Metacritic page, and each cut is one of Metacritic’s own groups. Two numbers that differ between pages

Top: one measure, two printed values, drawn on a 10-point slice of the axis so the gap is visible. Bottom: the same page lists 3 more reviews than it counts. The hatched piece is the 3 with no score. Original diagram for this site.

Critics recommend. OpenCritic’s own page prints 86% for the share of critics who recommend the game. Wikipedia gives 89%, and a Game Rant page embeds a widget showing 89%. No page explains the gap. 89% appears on Wikipedia: Silent Hill: Townfall

Review count. Metacritic’s PS5 header counts 64 critic reviews while the list on the same page shows 67; 3 carry no score. The PC page likewise lists one more than it counts. Printed on Metacritic: PS5 critic reviews

Scores from individual outlets

These are each outlet’s own numbers. What a score means is in the review itself, which is why each tile links to it. If you are weighing how critics treated the game’s length or its place in the series, those questions have their own pages: how long it takes to beat and whether it is a mainline game.

Scores say nothing about price. What the game costs in each region is on the price page, and the open question of why it costs what it does is on its own page.
