Privacy
Townfall Answer Desk is a static site: no accounts, no forms, no comment boxes. What loads from other companies depends on the build, and the table below is produced from the same switches the code reads, so it describes the pages you are on.
| Service | In this build | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Loads once the page has finished loading | Page views, plus the device and browser details a visit carries. Google signals and ad personalization are switched off. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Loads on your first click, scroll, key press or touch | Pointer movement, clicks and scrolling, so visits can be replayed and combined into heatmaps. Once it starts, Microsoft sets its own cookies on clarity.ms and bing.com. |
| Advertising | Not loaded. Every ad unit is switched off | Nothing. |
| YouTube player | Only after you press play on a video card | The player is served from youtube-nocookie.com and YouTube’s own policies apply from that moment. Until then the card shows a cover image served from this site. |
| Fonts, images, scripts | Served from this site’s own domain | Ordinary request details, as for any page. |
What your browser keeps
One setting: whether you picked the light or the dark theme, saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device. The unlock clock reads your device’s time zone inside your browser to show local times; that value is not sent anywhere and is not saved.
Hosting
Cloudflare serves the site, so ordinary request logs exist at that layer, as they do for any site it hosts. This site does not query them.
Links out
Pages link to stores, publishers and news sites, such as those on the PC page. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies and this site sees nothing of it. The full list is on the sources page, and the terms of use are on the terms page.
Changes to this page
Edits to this policy are recorded on the updates page. The videos this page refers to are collected on the trailer page.
Blocking
A content blocker, or a browser that blocks third-party scripts, stops anything in the table from loading. Every page reads the same without them.
