Release

When does Silent Hill: Townfall unlock for you?

It depends on the store, not on where you live. Steam has one unlock instant for the whole world; PS5 unlocks at local midnight in each PlayStation Store region. The clock below reads yours.

How to read: left to right is one UTC day, midnight to midnight. Five PS5 stores unlock in the second half of a UTC day; the United States store and Steam share a point early in the next one. Original diagram for this site. Every dot comes from the same timestamps as the table.

On this axis Steam is not the first store to open. By the timestamps the Australian store unlocks 14 hours before Steam and the UK store 5 hours before it, while the US store lands on the very same instant. That is what “local midnight” does to a store that cuts the world into regions, and it is why a PS5 player in Sydney and a PC player in Sydney do not unlock together. PS5 timing is written up store by store on the PS5 page, and the Windows side, including the Epic question, on the PC page.

Why Steam’s page can show another day

Steam’s store page prints the release day in Pacific time, and most other sources print it in Eastern or local time. Both are the same instant, so a one-day gap between Steam and everything else is a time-zone artifact, not a second release day. The same shift applies to the Deluxe head start. How to read: each bar is one city’s own calendar day, midnight to midnight. The dot is where the single Steam instant lands in it. A dot in the second colour is on a different calendar day from New York’s. Original diagram for this site.

Only the Los Angeles bar sits a calendar day behind New York’s, and Los Angeles is where Steam’s Pacific wording comes from. The table below prints the same instant in each city with its calendar day.

Deluxe early access: stated on Steam, inferred on PS5

Steam’s own field states the Deluxe Edition’s early-access instant, 48 hours before full release, and the table lists it as stated. For PS5 the start time is Not found on any first-party page. Each PS5 Deluxe row is that store’s own release time minus 48 hours, the same arithmetic Game Rant’s table shows, and it is marked Inferred for that reason. Cross-check: Game Rant: release time and early access What Deluxe includes, and how Steam shows it, is on the early access page.

What this page does not time

  • Epic Games Store: unlock time not read, because its page blocks scripted requests. See the PC page.
  • Steam preload: Not found. PS5 preload rests on a community account, covered on the PS5 page.
  • Xbox consoles: not at launch. The Xbox page has PlayStation’s own wording on the wait, and the platform board lists every other store.

What would change this page: a different timestamp on Steam or on a PlayStation Store region, or a first-party statement of the PS5 Deluxe start.
