Is Akira Yamaoka in Townfall?
The official credit is Pilotpriest, the stage name of Anthony Scott Burns. No official page says Yamaoka is involved, and none says he is not. One outlet infers that he is not.
The composer named by the studio and by the PlayStation page. What would change this page: a credits list, or a statement from Konami or Screen Burn, that names Yamaoka either way.

“Home”, the composer’s track, published on the Silent Hill channel. It is the piece the studio’s own announcement points to, and the other official videos are collected on the trailer page.
Who says what
The studio’s development log names the composer, and Steam’s announcement and the PlayStation page repeat it. Development log: Screen Burn: composer announcement Announcement: Steam announcements (ISteamNews API) Store page: PlayStation.com game page
The only page in the ledger that goes further is Rely on Horror. Its headline says the soundtrack will not feature Yamaoka; the article reasons from the composer announcement and quotes no statement from Konami or Screen Burn on the point. That makes it an inference, and it is the only place the claim appears. Read in Rely on Horror: soundtrack won't feature Akira Yamaoka
The exact words
The composer is named in a post by the game’s writer and director:
“we’re delighted to hand over to Townfall’s composer Anthony Scott Burns - aka PILOTPRIEST”
Jon McKellan, Screen Burn's writer and director. From Screen Burn: composer announcement
The PlayStation page describes how the music behaves:
“A fully dynamic soundtrack by Pilotpriest builds and twists with player and enemy actions”
Listed on PlayStation.com game page
Steam’s store copy ties that behavior to what you are doing, with the music rising and falling with action and stealth; how those two work is on the combat page.
What the composer says about Yamaoka
In his own introduction in the same post, Burns credits Yamaoka’s score for the earlier games with much of the fear he felt as a player, and says it played in the background while he worked on his own film projects. That is a fan describing an influence. It says nothing either way about whether Yamaoka contributes to Townfall. Written in Screen Burn: composer announcement
Who else is credited
Sound design is not Pilotpriest’s job alone. The post says Byron Bullock’s team at Arrival handles cutscene audio, foley and effects, and builds a score system that reacts to what you and the enemies do, working with the composer on each stem, loop and stinger. The full role-by-role list, publishers and studio included, is on the developer page, and the voice actors are on the cast page.
If you want the music without the game, the Deluxe Edition includes a digital soundtrack inside its Bonus Application; the contents of each edition are on the editions page. Edition contents: PlayStation.Blog: launch announcement
