How long is Silent Hill: Townfall?
The developer’s own estimate is 10 to 14 hours for a first playthrough. Two other figures sit inside that range, and they do not count the same thing.

Who said each number
Jon McKellan, the game’s writer and director, gave this range for a first playthrough at a media preview. Reported by One More Game: first playthrough length
GameRant played the game and puts the average player at about 12 to 14 hours to reach the credits and see at least one ending. Only GameRant reports this, from its own run. Written up in Game Rant: how long to beat, and all six parts
Vice relays a claim from whoever uploaded a full playthrough video to Bilibili before release. Only Vice reports this. Relayed by Vice: the campaign leak
A first-party time for any single part, a first-party figure for finishing everything, or a length statement made by the studio after release. What would change this: the studio or publisher publishing one.
The developer’s exact words
“We consider it a full-length game, and we reckon the 1st playthrough is anywhere between 10 and 14 hours, depending on how you play.”
Jon McKellan, writer and director. Reported by One More Game: first playthrough length
He also said an exact number is hard to give because a stealth game splits players: some spend a lot of time hiding, others play aggressively. He gave a range for that reason, and how you handle fights and stealth is what moves it.
What each number counts
Read the grid before comparing the bars. The developer’s figure is a first playthrough. GameRant’s runs to the credits with at least one ending seen. Vice says the claimed 13 to 14 hours is the main story only and did not include all of the side quests or the post-game content, so it is the one figure that says what it leaves out. Scope stated in Vice: the campaign leak
What moves the number
- Difficulty and puzzle difficulty. GameRant lists both as settings that change length, and expects the Normal puzzle setting to run longer than Hinted. The settings are laid out on the combat page. Said in Game Rant: how long to beat, and all six parts
- Later runs. McKellan said later playthroughs go faster because you unlock things that help you reach the other endings sooner. Which endings need an extra run is on the endings page. Reported by One More Game: first playthrough length
- Seeing everything. GameRant estimates at least 25 to 30 hours across several playthroughs, and 40 to 50 without a guide. That is its own estimate, not a measurement. Said in Game Rant: how long to beat, and all six parts
Six parts
GameRant reports that the game is split into six parts, which the game itself calls Parts. Their names are spoilers, so they are not listed here. Only GameRant reports the count, from its own playthrough. Said in Game Rant: how long to beat, and all six parts
Length is one input to the question of value; the price side is on why it costs $49.99, and how critics scored the game is on the review page, which this page does not restate.
